In the town of Whoville, the human-like people called Whos are filled with excitement about celebrating Christmas.

However the only one who is not amused is the cantankerous and green-furred Grinch, who has a heart “two sizes too small” and lives in his cave with his dog, Max.

Due to Covid-19, we have been very intentional about how we plan this event to ensure it is safe. The main concerns around the Royal Show was rides, staff and entertainers that were coming from the eastern states. we have addressed that. Here is what we are doing:

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

If you have purchased your ticket online through the Santa’s Christmas Carnival website please bring a copy of your ticket on either your phone or paper to the entrance gates at the train station or through gate 8 on Ashton Ave.

Please note that gate 5 and gate 1 will not be open this year.

If you wish to book for your organisation or you have a large group of 20+, please complete the Group Booking Enquiry Form.

The showground will allow you to bring picnics, however no glass or alcohol is permitted within the grounds. You are welcome to bring small shades, chairs and umbrellas. Please ensure you bring a hat, sunscreen, towel and bathers to enjoy the water park.

We cannot replace lost wristbands, please treat them as you would cash. If your wristband is damaged please bring it to the info booth for a replacement.

Gates open at 10am, however you will only be able to gain access to the rides and activities from 10.30am.  

If we reach capacity prior to the day there will be no tickets available, however should there still be some available they will be sold on a first come first served basis. Online tickets are cheaper so we do recommend booking early to secure your entry.

Once you are inside all rides & entertainment are FREE however there will also be a few side show games, food & drink as well as show bags and market stalls at an additional cost if you choose to purchase or participate.

An ATM will be on site. Many of the food outlets and box office have eftpos facilities available also.

This year we have chosen a new variety of food and beverage stall’s to cater for most people’s taste from Burgers, Kebabs, Salads, Chips, Donuts, Wraps, Ice Cream, Fairy Floss, Coffee and more!

Yes, all pavilions have disability access and restrooms.

Yes, Claremont Showground has baby change tables and breastfeeding rooms available for your use.

Yes, however alcohol is not permitted. Bottles of water must be in a sealed bottle with the lid on.

Yes, there may be some restrictions – either by height or recommended age. Those that are height restricted will be indicated prior to getting onto the ride. Parents, if you would like to jump on a ride with your children then you are more than welcome where available.  

Our rides are suitable for children aged 3+ and we have done our best to accommodate everyone and make it a special family day out.

The event will go ahead rain hail or shine. In the unlikely event of severe weather some activities might have to be temporarily closed or rescheduled.

Yes, we have such a huge space for your family to roam around in that prams are not a problem!

Yes we do. The companion card must be presented by the companion at the gate along with the paying patron they are accompanying.

We have capped the amount of tickets sold to avoid over crowding so that you can make the most of your time at the event.

We anticipate the wait time for most rides to be minimal and no longer than two ride cycles at the most.

Extra rides, staffing and queue system will be provided to help with any issues.

There is plenty of parking at the showground through Gate 8 on Ashton Ave.

Please note that parking is charged at $5 per car by the Claremont showground.

The Fremantle/ Perth train line will be stopping at the showground station. Train’s will commence stopping at the showground from 10am until 5.00pm.

All children under the age of 10 years need to be accompanied by a paying adult however 1 adult may accompany up to 4 children. Some activities may require parental supervision.

We do prefer patrons to bring a printed copy of your ticket for faster entry.

If for some reason you are unable to print your ticket then we will be able to scan your ticket barcode through your smart phone screen but please do have this ready at the gate.
